Down on the tracks

Train cars have the best art on them. If I were a train company I'd let graffiti artists spice up all of my cars. It's like a travelling museum. The great thing is that some art you do could be four states away just a day or two after you finish it. Sadly I have to rely on taking shots of cars that are against the road or the bikepaths as I figure I'll catch some hell snooping around the train yards.

Argh!

Some cunt, and I know who it is, keeps using the entire jar of creamer dust for one cup of coffee. And the bitch never refills it! That's like an entire cup of creamer dust for one cup! Drink some fucking milk, cuz there sure ain't any coffee flavor that is going to survive that assault. Fuck! And if you are going to sully the coffee that is basically sullied at birth, at least do us all the courtesy of refilling the fucking creamer dust bowl, you fucking asshole!
Whew... better now. Thanks and sorry.

Patrick Gleeson's Star Wars!

"Selections from the film performed on the world's most advanced synthesizer"
Keep in mind, this was circa 1977.
According to the liner notes this guy heard that George Lucas was making a sci-fi film and "of all the people in the world that could possibly make the music for such a film, it ought to be me who made it."
Thank God he didn't get the job. The movie would have been even worse. This "version" of the soundtrack, though fun, sounds a lot like one of those shrill Italian horror movie soundtracks...like the Goblins without guitars.

Great drinks, great food, great artwork inside, and a photo booth!

The top picture is a reclaimed real estate newspaper machine. It provides paper and a pen and asks for a self-portrait which you are supposed to drop in the slot at the top when finished.

Triangle Park, down by the water

Beyond the main factory area lies an old rusted pier area. This is where I dropped my new/used camera about 20 feet down to the rocks below and had to shimmy down a rusted I-Beam to the shore, then monkey my way back up via a makeshift series of giant tree trunks and branches that were wedged into the foundation of the structure.
The camera lived. I may get an infection. Good times. Bring a tetanus shot if you go.

Triangle Park, Part 15

So there is a small entry into the base of the smoke stack. Of course, I had to climb in regardless of potential health hazards. Inside was pretty amazing. Strangely when inside I could hear faint radio sounds. Not music, but more like a man's voice saying a short sentence, then a pause, then a short sentence again, alomost as if her were relaying information. Sadly I couldn't make out the specifics and there was no one down there as no one else was stupid enough to go down there and get caught in the rain. The smokestack does rise up to the level of the streets, so it is probable that it was just picking up some sounds from a house set back from the cliff (way back, at least 3 blocks as everything on the cliff edge is berry bushes and fences).

And what do you use to shore up cement for an illicit ramp? Some railroad ties and... a dresser? Excellent!

Triangle Park! (part 11)

So, this place I have been going to for these great graffiti shots was just featured in the Sentinel. Here is a link to the article so go read it so I don't have to explain it. Pretty interesting stuff. Anyhoo, I went back today, a week since my last visit, and some of the pieces, good ones, were covered and done over with even better pieces. the place seems to be constantly changing so I hope to document it for as long as it is there.
Hope you like it. If not, tell me and I'll stop.
