Patrick Gleeson's Star Wars!
"Selections from the film performed on the world's most advanced synthesizer"
Keep in mind, this was circa 1977.
According to the liner notes this guy heard that George Lucas was making a sci-fi film and "of all the people in the world that could possibly make the music for such a film, it ought to be me who made it."
Thank God he didn't get the job. The movie would have been even worse. This "version" of the soundtrack, though fun, sounds a lot like one of those shrill Italian horror movie soundtracks...like the Goblins without guitars.
