Triangle Park, revisited

And it would appear that my fave, Honest, has made it down to the Triangle!

Klutch

Well, I bought my first art piece a few months ago (way to be on top of things, Royale). I ran into this at an art gallery thing that Windy's friends were DJing. There was free beer, it was an excuse to bike and drink, so of course we went. This was in Klutch's scribble pile and I had to have it. I liked the shape and size. I went to leave a note but then he turned up. We haggled for a few seconds (I swear he is from California as he used the word "hella"... it made me miss my friends) and it was mine.
When I got it home it was too tall for my apartment so I wedged it up into the corner of the kitchen I don't use. I then borrowed a jigsaw (thanks, Windy) and lopped a blank 3 inches off of the bottom. Now it fits and I have some good art up in the studio.
Thanks Klutch. You ARE hella cheap. You should charge more.

MacGyver is the House!

Ingredients: One broken but functioning chair from Goodwill ($3), one glass chess board (free), one flashlight ($4 at Joe's Outdoor store), and tall Guardian Angel candle holder (housewarming gift, aka FREE).

Get a drink or two in you, end up desperate for a way to trace a picture. Look around, become mildly brilliant for 4 nanoseconds.

VOLIA! $7 and you have a light table.

Let this be a lesson to you...

One is to not park in NW, the other is to not abandon a car in SE.

Somewhere in Portland... I Think

Thanks to Christy for the drunk text she couldn't recall.

OM!

I saw Om on Friday at Berbati's Pan. Let me tell you, it RULED! The new drummer fits in just perfectly. And, lucky us, this was a one show tour. Maybe to break in the new drummer as he is from Portland.
Oh yeah, I'm back. I may post some pics. Maybe not. I am undecided.
For those of you who may be irked by not being able to vacation and quest vicariously through me, I will give you this pic.

This was why I wouldn't go to the bathroom after dark, cuz that is when this kid came out. It didn't really move (well, one night it was cleaning one of its seven legs... yes, seven. Stupid rocking chairs) and it wasn't threatening. Still, I had a sneaking suspicion that it could fly and would silently hover onto the back of my head when I let my guard down.
